Ford to Offer Sirius on More Vehicles Ford to Expand Availability of Sirius Satellite Radio on Up to 20 Ford, Lincoln Mercury Lines
NEW YORK (AP) -- Ford Motor Co. is expanding the availability of Sirius Satellite Radio as a dealer-installed option, and plans to offer Sirius as a factory-installed option on up to 20 Ford and Lincoln Mercury lines over the next two years, the automaker said Monday.
Ford, Mercury and Lincoln now offer Sirius Satellite Radio as a dealer-installed option on nine models. Beginning this fall, this offering will be expanded to the Ford Escape, Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and the Mercury Mariner.
Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. provides listeners with more than 120 channels of satellite radio programming and expects to reach 1 million subscribers by year-end.
In recent premarket activity, shares of Nasdaq-listed Sirius were up 4 percent to $3.85.
