The DJs on "Vote For Change Radio" are the very same musicians on the "Vote For Change Tour" and all of the music on the channel will come from those very same artists. This special, uncensored, three-day broadcast on SIRIUS will bring the ambitious Vote For Change concert tour far beyond the 12 "battleground" states it visits between today and October 11.
When "Vote For Change Radio" takes over SIRIUS commercial-free music channel The Spectrum starting October 9, all of its programming will be hosted by Vote For Change tour artists such as Peter Buck of REM., Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam, Conor Oberst from Bright Eyes and the four members of Death Cab For Cutie. In addition, the broadcast will feature an exclusive interview and performance by tour artist John Fogerty and a special music mix assembled by Jurassic 5 DJ Nu Mark.
Interspersed throughout the broadcast will be public service announcements from the artists of the tour, urging listeners to vote in the November 2 elections. The broadcast will culminate in a simulcast of the tour's four- hour-long finale concert from Washington, DC on October 11. This concert broadcast is scheduled to feature performances by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Jackson Browne, Dave Matthews Band, Jurassic 5, Dixie Chicks, Bonnie Raitt, REM, Pearl Jam, James Taylor, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, John Fogerty and Keb' Mo'.
